When starting a new hobby, like how I started crocheting, you always need to find simple and easy patterns to complete. One thing that I first learnt to do was a simple little star that could be used as a simple little ornament or you could make to add onto any of your projects. Later, I moved on to creating this cute crochet flower and this can be used to add onto anything you desire.
sc: single crochet
sl st: slip stitch
dc: double crochet
trc: triple crochet
Round 1 : Make a magic circle, ch3 (which counts as your first dc) then 9dc into the circle, sl st. into ch3. (10)
Round 2: Ch.1, sc in same st., (dc, trc, ch1, try, dc) in next st., *sc in next st., (dc, trc, ch1, try, dc) in next st.*, repeat from * to * three more times, sl st. into 1st sc and fasten off.
You do not need to use one colour to make this flower, you can use two different colours for the two different rounds to create a more flower like pattern.
