I Finally Purchased From Fenty Beauty!

Unless you have been on another planet recently, we all know that Rihanna pulled out all the stops when she collaborated with Fenty to create this beauty range. I have seen so many reviews and youtube videos that are raving about this product, that I could not tell if they were just hyping it up because of who created it or whether the product was actually worth the hype.

When I first searched Fenty on the Harvey Nichols site this is what I read….

Fenty Beauty was created with a vision. For creator and founder Rihanna, it was essential “that women everywhere would be included”.

After recognising a void in the industry, Rihanna focused on a range of traditionally hard to match skin tones, developing formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades. Her aim, above all, is to inspire: “Makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”

But I’m not being funny, creating 40 shades definitely shows that Rihanna did this! The only problem was, I wanted to order this without having to trek into Birmingham to find my shade. I used the shade finder on the Harvey Nichols site and actually found it really easy. Usually I would of said that I was in the light section and gone for about a 170 or 180 but because I have been using a lot of fake tan recently, I went for the 200 out of the medium section.

When this product arrived, I have to admit I was super excited just from the packaging! The bottle was so simple and cute that I immediately fell in love. Then, I tried the foundation! I fell in love even more. The product went on so easily and I only used half the amount that I usually do when using my Estee Lauder foundation.

Overall, the coverage was amazing, it lets the skin breathe easily and isn’t caked. The foundation stays in place and is long lasting (especially after being at work all day) and works really well with my oily skin as it has a great matte finish!

I would definitely recommend this product to everyone and now I know how good the foundation is I think I need to test out other products in the Fenty Beauty range.
