There is no denying that I love going on too youtube and being nosey in other peoples lives and watching to see what they have gotten up to that week, but at the same time I feel like I am watching the same videos over and over again!
Recently I’ve been trying to watch a wider variety of vloggers but have found that all the videos I am watching tend to be the same, especially by those wig are the ‘experienced’ and ‘luxury’ vloggers. I have found that this has come from being able to go on youtube and watch a basic make-up or hair tutorial to watching people open really expensive designer clothes that they have been sent that week.
I love going on youtube and watching people do their everyday life routine and the hacks that they use to make their lives easier which can also help us. Yet, lately it seems to be that they are telling us the best places we can visit in the Maldives as if we can all afford to go on these luxury expensive holidays which they get paid to go on. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that vlogging takes time and effect as they have to make sure they get the perfect shot, take their camera everywhere they go, come up with content regularly so they don’t miss their uploads and then edit the videos that they are publishing. But there are also jobs out there that are a lot more stressful and take up a lot of time where people cannot afford to go holiday to the Maldives because there hard labouring job does not pay enough or they are not able to get the time off work to go. So would we all be able to live in million pound mansions and give up our day jobs just by carrying a camera around with us all day?
I will probably get hate for these comments but I do love vloggers and I love watching them, especially those who have a smaller subscriber count as you can tell that their content is genuine and they are vlogging their own opinion and showing you what they love to do. It is the vloggers who just upload videos of them drinking coffee, spending ridiculous amounts of money, sat in front of a video game or doing illegal stuff and getting paid loads to do it. I have also noticed as well that of them are uploading videos that are twenty minutes long and have 3-5 adverts within one video. I’m sorry but I know you get paid when I watch your ads but can you just stick to one ad per video (which they get millions of views on) instead of putting four adverts into one?
I think that I am having break from watching on youtube because I feel like the whole concept of vlogging is becoming lost and I hope that people start uploading videos again to help people and show their passion in their niche instead of uploading for fame and money!
