I don’t know about you guys but some nights I just really struggle to fall to sleep so I decided to do some research and see what people were doing to get a better nights sleep and thought it would be good idea to share this with you!
Put Away The Screen!
No matter where I looked for advice this would always be the first thing to be on the list. Some sites would say that you shouldn’t be looking at a screen two hours before you go to bed and some said 30 minutes. Lately I have started to put my phone away at least 30 minutes before I decide to go to bed.
Meditation is something I have never been into but I have seen a lot of studies that show the benefits of meditation. This can be reducing stress, controlling anxiety, enhance self-awareness, generate kindness, help fight addictions and many more. This can be completed within 5 minutes before you go to bed to help clear your mind from stress and help improve your sleep.
Read A Book!
A lot of my research concluded in reading before you go to bed. This is something that I have tried to do and it does help me get sleepy and ready to just snuggle up and close my eyes. The only down side of this is I end up having to go back a couple pages the next day because I ended up that sleepy I forgot what the pages were about.
Stretch It Out!
Meditating can help clear your mind but having a good stretch and loosening up those muscles can help to relax the body and get it ready to shut down for the night. Stretching can also help to relieve any aches or pains that could also be preventing you from falling to sleep.
Have A Warm Soak!
Having a nice warm bath or shower before you are due to go to bed can also help relax the body and get the body and get your mind and body into a routine of getting ready for bed.
