My Biggest Pet Peeves At The Moment…

I don’t know if it is because I have seen a lot of people doing these ‘unpopular’ posts lately but I decided it was time that I was honest. There are a lot of things that tend to get on my nerves but I don’t know if that is just my character but I get really worked up over the smallest things.

Loud Eaters

I think a lot of people can agree with me here, why do people feel the need to be so loud when they eat? I know one thing I was taught growing up was table manors and this is something I feel everybody should have. It doesn’t take a lot to eat with your mouth closed and wait until your mouth is empty to start talking!

Slow Walkers

I really can not stand strolling, I don’t know what it is but if I am walking somewhere I like a good pace and I cannot tolerate being stuck behind really slow walkers. It really annoys me when you go food shopping and people are just strolling around the isles as if you want to spend all day looking at the frozen meats section.

Reality TV

This is a hard one because I always end up watching reality TV and it always gets me really wound up. Especially when they make comments about how there job is so hard especially when most of them are just paid to put a picture of a product onto their Instagram. By being on one reality show they think that they are now A-list celebrities.

Hypocrites

I cannot stand when people stand there and try to tell you how to live our life and do things that they refuse to do. Even so when people stand there and judge you for your past which is very similar to their own!

Punctuality

Do not be late if you are meeting me somewhere! If I have been given a time to arrive somewhere I will most likely leave the house ten minutes before I am due to leave. I cannot stand being late and I am always scared to be the last to arrive somewhere.

Manors

If I open a door for you I at least expect you to say ‘cheers’. It doesn’t cost a think to have manors but it does show kindness and politeness. Nobody can judge you for saying please and thank you but they will if you do not use these simple words that make you come across as a nicer person.

Being Interrupted

I understand that sometimes you are going to get interrupted and sometimes I do have the tendency to interrupt people but I will only do it if it is vitally important. But, if I am telling somebody a story or explaining something and people just butt into the middle of the conversation for no reason and change the subject completely I will not finish what I was saying no matter how important I feel it is. It is just rude and disrespectful!

I think it is a tie between manors and loud eaters!

Yes, yes, yes!! To all of these! I am one of those people who is early everywhere I go, so I know I’ll have to wait. But if you aren’t there when you say, I find it rude. (With some exceptions) my main pet peeve is when people drag their feet…that one gets me!

Yes! I love this. Mine are all the pins on Pinterest that claim to be “authentic” Thai food. More than half are nowhere close. My wife is Thai and I’ve spent time in Thailand. Nothing with peanut sauce other than satay is authentic.

This is so good and yes these things are quite annoying. Would say hypocritical people are my biggest peeve but punctuality runs a close second. Don’t make me wait for you like my time isn’t valuable. I hate that.

I don’t mind slow walkers as much as really unaware walkers… those who slow down or suddenly stop in the middle of the road… also cracking knuckles really does my head in. And grammar errors… such as saying manors over manners 😉

I used to be really judgemental about reality TV, then I was on a reality TV show and now I have a new respect for people who do it because it’s really hard emotionally and the filming days are really long sometimes 12 hours or more.
