Why I Started Blogging! | Blogtober

So for day two of blogtober I decided it would be a good idea to write about why I decided to start my own blog. When you ask a lot of people why they have started blogging their answers vary. Some may do it because they want to become ‘internet famous’, others may do it because they want to receive free products from companies and get paid to say how amazing the product is. Myself on the other hand, is not doing this for either of those reasons.

I have always had a love for social media and the internet, even though it can be a nasty place at times, I just love that it is a place where people can connect from different places in the world. So, why have I started this blog?

I started this blog purely because I feel like the blogging world is growing but also slowly fading away. When you go on twitter or Instagram there are millions of people claiming that they are ‘bloggers’ but you will find most of these that have 50k plus followers don’t actually have a blog but instead do all their promoting through pictures on Instagram. So thousands of bloggers are now switching over to being Instagram influencers.

This is where my blog fits in, I don’t want to be somebody who buys a product just because somebody well known posts a photo onto the internet using it. I want to know somebody’s views on the product. I want to know the pros and the cons.

I have also created this blog because I am a very opinionated person, I don’t believe my opinions are correct but I do have a lot of opinions and I thought that creating a blog could help me to express them and also open up other peoples minds to have a think about certain topics and decide their opinion.

Im worried that the blogging world is slowly going to fade aware which is sad especially when there are so many blogs that are about on the internet that can help and support people.  Whether it be due to mental health, relationships, family advice, fashion or beauty tips. Why should we be only giving young people the option to watch a video or look at a picture when they can actually take a moment to read.

Girl, I am right there with you! There are so many people out there using the term “blog” to get noticed when in reality they don’t blog at all. Also, I enjoy that you are opinionated and I love reading what you have to say! 🙂
