Favourite Things About Fall | Blogtober

So for day 6 I am going to be discussing my favourite things about the Autumn season. Some of these are very obvious and most people would probably say the same but I think some things that I love others may not.

Putting away the sandals!

Don’t get me wrong I love in the summer time where you can just slip on a pair of sandals or sliders to pop out of the house but there is nothing I love more than it falling into autumn time and I am able to get out my boots. I love boots, whether they are ankle boots, over the knee, heeled boots or studded boots. I love how they look with jeans, dresses, leggings or skirts and tights.

Get out the knit wear!

Jumpers and chunky cardigans are what I live for. I don’t think you can go wrong with a knitted dress, tights and a nice paid of boots. You can’t go wrong with a high neck, knitted jumpers with a pair of skinny jeans. There is just endless choices of what you can do with knitwear and there are now so many different styles that you don’t just have to buy the same styled jumper in 5 different colours.

Blanket season!

This is something I have missed over the summer, I love sitting on the sofa in the evening watching a movie or reruns of tv programs with a nice cuppa and a blanket. Most people call this cuddle season and cuddle up to people, whereas I love to just snuggle up to a blanket with Amy dog (yes I’m a saddo).

Crunchy leaves!

Whilst walking my dog in my boots and my favourite knitted jumper I tend to make a point of walking by the trees just so that I can walk on all the fallen leaves. Not only do I love all the fall colours on the leaves but the sound of them crunching has to be one of the most satisfying noises ever.

Dark Nights!

Now this is one most people wouldn’t agree with and I have to admit I hate coming out of work and it’s dark already because you feel like your day is over. However, I do love that it gets dark on a night as it makes it easier to settle down and I feel like your evenings are more comforting.

What is your favourite thing about fall?

I couldn’t agree more with the things you have picked here, I think my ultimate fave is getting the blankets out and lighting candles 😻
