So for day 7 of blogtober I’ve decided to do another post from the ‘suggestions’ on Pinterest and I sort of liked the idea of writing this one because there are a couple things that came straight to mind when I read this title.
So, I never though blogging would…
cost so much. As much as this should be a negative it doesn’t always end up being one. When I first set up my blog it was just an ordinary WordPress blog that was free, this was until I decided I wanted to go one step further and buy my own domain and become self hosted. At first I was quite shocked by the price but now they do not seem so bad especially when I see the prices that some self-hosted companies cost. (Can see more on how I went self hosted here).
open up a whole new community. To say I was shocked when I started a twitter for my blog and how many other bloggers followed me and supported me is an understatement. The size of the blogging community is absolutely incredible, I cannot believe how many bloggers I have been in contact with. Fortunately for me all the bloggers I have spoken to or gone to for support have been very kind and friendly.
help me learn new things. When I started this blog I thought that I would only be blogging about things I already know or stuff that I have always been confident in. Whereas now, I have found that most of the posts I create I do research on and find out more information and statistics to help me create this content.
make me more organised. You would think that working in a school means that I should be very organised but in reality I am probably one of the most unorganised people ever. That is until I started blogging. I think this is due to planning posts, creating posts and sticking to my own deadlines. So blogging is actually helping me to improve skills for my everyday job.
