Now I’m not going to lie, this post is not going to make you a really positive person who lives the most positive life and nothing bad ever happens. This post is generally giving you my opinion of 5 different ways you can add positivity into your life. They tend to work for me and I’m not suggesting that doing these is going to work for everybody.
1. Do Something Fun
Now this is pretty self explanatory, life is obviously going to be more positive if you do something fun. This doesn’t mean that you have to constantly be thinking of ways to have fun, just something small everyday. This could be as simple as listening to your favorite song, having the radio on louder on your drive to work, catch up with somebody you haven’t spoken to for a while. It is pretty simple to do something small every day. This can then expand to doing something bigger every once in a while this could be going to the cinema or going to play ghetto golf
2. Learn Something New
When I say something new, this doesn’t mean that you need to learn how to play a new instrument or how to crochet a blanket, this could generally mean find some new information or facts about something you enjoy. This is something I always try to do, though it may not be the easier it is the most satisfying!
3. Do Something For Somebody Else
This is something I love doing and always feel good doing, this could be as simple as holding the door open for somebody or help somebody carry something heavy. It seems lately that people aren’t as courteous as they used to be and that makes me sad, especially when a simple gesture can change somebody’s mood from bad to good.
Just like number 3, doing something simple can make their day better but something that can make somebody’s week is a simple comment. It may just be a compliment on their outfit or their hair style but all you have to do is find something you like about somebody and let them know! People don’t tend to share compliments anymore and this is quite upsetting as it is not going to hurt you to tell somebody you like their new shoes!
5. Express Gratitude Over What You Have
It is quite easy to sit down and make a list of things that you want or need, so instead of being negative about things you do not have, be positive about that things you do have. I don’t mean think about your most expensive bag and appreciate it, this could be as simple as appreciate the fact you have good health, you have a family who love you or you have a roof over your head. Some people do not have these things so just taking a couple of minutes a day to appreciate having these will definitely make you more positive!
